We just bought UN46D8000, the latest Samsung 240Hz, 3D LED TV. I waited years to buy only the LED display on the right side. Near the trigger last year, when the C series came out, but I'm glad I waited. This display is by far the best LED TV there. Thin, brilliant, amazing color, amazing contrast, blacks dramatically (true, deep blacks)! And I am very picky and waited years to buy the best. I believe that Samsung continues to be a leader in LED TVs. Interface and set up was very easy. It 'also not too heavy. Great build quality. Elegant and modern. SMALL bezel outer edge of the screen there. Just the perfect TV LED.
Also, I had a problem with Samsung over the weekend. I went online and call 800. No, wait! The support person answered my question immediately. Exceptional service. And 'likely to get the best price ABT Electronics. A spokesman for the display of the Samsung store on Columbus Circle in New York recommended them to me and they were fantastic. Best price (they will negotiate over the phone), free shipping and no sales tax. 3D units supplied with the starter kit free of charge. LED Display is well packed and had no problems connecting to my new Denon surround sound system, and Samsung BD-D6700 3D Blu-Ray DVDs (also a lot of those ABT).
I recommend getting a Samsung Blue-Ray with this TV. Best brand of game = less compatibility issues. Do not hesitate a second if you are considering another TV LED. I spent last year to try and look for these events and the D8000 is by far the best. BTW, the normal channels through your cable provider does not do well on this or any other HD LED TV. You need to move from a model of HD decoder. Time Warner HD channels will start on 700. All HD channels are amazing on this TV. Do not worry when you go to a normal channel and does not look good. This is not the LED display.
To a large high-end system, I recommend this LED display with BD-D6700 Blu-ray and the Denon AVR-4311CI surround sound receiver with built in amplifiers. And all that serves as a great set of speakers (remember that the speakers are the most important cases in order not to go cheap.) I got rid of my B & K amplifier and separate pre-amp (which were much more expensive ) and this system sounds much better and is easier to use! And remember to buy the quality of HDMI cables. They are directional, so make sure to connect the right way.
